The stockings were

...not hung, but the little bears were and all because the gauntlets kept my hands warm.

The stockings have been in the works nigh on 10 years. You know how it is...you spy a must do project and by the time you are nearing the finish, you make the decision to do multiples! Hopefully, before next year's Christmas these will be actually sewn into functioning flatware holders for my holiday table. Sorry, I don't know the designer. I think it may have been a BHG publication.

The bears are from Little Cotton Rabbits. There's a link in an older post and also one on my sidebar.

Little Bears

The gauntlets are from Berroco and the pattern can be found here. I used Lion Brand Woolease sport in Woodland Print. Next time I will make the pattern gauge a little larger for a better fit.

Trimming the Tree

...is so much fun with decorations like this little Christmas Tree Bear ornament designed by Julie Williams of Little Cotton Rabbits. Julie has graciously shared the pattern for this ornament on her website. You can find the link here. It was fairly easy to work up, (seaming is still a challenge) and I hope to knit a few more to adorn my tree.

Gingerbread Cookies

...can be calorie free if they are crocheted like this adorable Ginny Gingerbread Doll. Designed by Jocelyn Sass, this holiday cutie can be found in Crochet World December 2008. My version is worked in Red Heart worsted weight yarn in warm brown, paddy green and white.
